Welcome to the Mill House Care Home

Dear friends,

The health and well-being of our residents is paramount and after following the advice from the government and relevant health organisations, we have had some long hard discussions, but the outcome we have resigned to is that the best option; is to close the home to none essential visitors.

We understand that during this trying time everybody’s primary concern is that of their family members and in order to make sure we keep connections and spirits at their highest we are urging family and friends to communicate via Skype video calls by searching for ‘Joanne Carroll’ with the email address millhouseresidents@outlook.com It would be advisable to call the Home ahead, as the iPad may be on charge away from Carers. Our contact number is 01386 793 110.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the massive dedication, hard work and positive attitude of ALL our staff members, you are hero’s and your commitment is definitely not unnoticed!

Stay safe and well!

All rooms are comfortably appointed and fully furnished, however residents are actively encouraged to choose their own colour schemes, soft furnishings and to personalise their room as they choose.

We firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were can also do wonders for their state of mind.

All our food is locally sourced and freshly prepared each day. Our chef provides a varied and balanced menu and happily caters for special diets and preferences, where requested.

Life at the home…

The Mill House

The Mill House Care Home stands in its own grounds in the village of Kington, Worcestershire, which nestles between Inkberrow and Flyford Flavell.

The Mill House owned by Joanne and Tony Carroll. Joanne, who is an
experienced care home proprietor, is involved with the home on a daily basis.

Our residents benefit from being in the countryside and the home has beautiful
gardens for everyone to enjoy, but is also easily accessible from many major
transport routes.

Why people choose the Mill House?

We pride ourselves on offering individualised, person-centred care to those living with Dementia. Our aim is to enable maximum quality of life with the minimum of restriction.

We are home to 31 residents, our spacious rooms, most of which are en-suite, are tastefully decorated and residents are invited to bring personal items such as ornaments, photographs and small pieces of furniture in order to make them feel truly at home.

We recognise that being away from one's loved ones can be difficult and have several computers to help residents to stay in touch with family and friends; each room also has its own phone and TV points.
